Pre-procedure care

Follow these guidelines to arrive in the best possible condition and ensure optimal results.

  • Discontinue anti-inflammatory drugs and aspirin 2 weeks before surgery.

  • Wash your hair thoroughly the day before the procedure.

  • Do not wear earrings or accessories near the ears on the day of surgery.

  • Fast for 8 hours (solids) before your procedure.

  • Avoid tobacco and alcohol the week prior.

  • Arrange for someone to drive you home after the procedure.

Post-procedure care

Guided recovery is an essential part of achieving natural, lasting results.

  • Wear the prescribed elastic headband continuously for the first 2 weeks.

  • Sleep on your back with your head slightly elevated; avoid lateral pressure on the ears.

  • Avoid contact sports and physical activities for 4 weeks.

  • Wash your hair gently only after your surgeon gives clearance.

  • Avoid earrings for the duration specified post-surgery.

  • Protect the area from sun and extreme cold for the first 3 months.

  • Attend all scheduled follow-up appointments.
