Pre-procedure care
Follow these guidelines to arrive in the best possible condition and ensure optimal results.

Have an ophthalmologic exam prior to surgery if you have any existing eye condition.

Stop anti-inflammatory drugs, aspirin, and vitamin supplements 2 weeks before.

Remove contact lenses one week before and on the day of surgery.

Arrive without eye makeup or creams on the day of your procedure.

Fast for 8 hours (solids) before surgery.

Arrange for someone to drive you home — you will not be able to drive.
Recovery
Post-procedure care
Guided recovery is an essential part of achieving natural, lasting results.

Apply cold compresses during the first 48 hours to reduce swelling.

Use the prescribed eye drops or ointment on the schedule given by your doctor.

Sleep with your head elevated for the first 5 days.

Minimize screen time and prolonged reading for the first 3 days.

Do not wear contact lenses until the incision is fully closed (~3 weeks).

Wear sunglasses whenever outdoors for at least 3 months.

Attend your suture removal appointment as scheduled (typically 5–7 days).
